The Four Seasons

Winter is the time of year we break out the hats, gloves, and scarves. The winter months include December, January, and February. December 21st or 22nd is the first day of winter. This is the day of the year with the least amount of daylight. A lot of activities occur inside during the winter months (reading, sitting by the fire, and playing board games). Outdoor activities could include skiing, sledding, and ice skating. Temperatures can be very low during these months. This is the time of year when many places get snow, sleet, and freezing rain. Many animals go into hibernation to stay warm. Winter holidays include Christmas, New Years, and Valentines Day.

                                                               song about winter

Brr brr B R R look at all that snow
Daddy’s putting up our tree and hanging mistletoe
Mommy’s making cookies with icing that’s red
While I put my mittens on and go outside to sled

Brr brr B R R I love this time of year
When it’s brr B R R the holidays are near
Brr brr B R R I’m full of good cheer
It’s freezing cold Christmas day is almost here

No brr brr B R R on my patio
Daddy’s putting up our tree and hanging mistletoe
Mommy’s making cookies with icing that’s green
While I put my swimsuit on and plenty of sunscreen

No brr brr B R R I love this time of year
Without B R R holidays are still so near
No brr brr B R R I’m still full of cheer
Though it’s steaming hot Christmas day is almost here

When it’s not B R R how can you know
It’s time to open gifts and kiss with mistletoe
I check very carefully and always remember
Christmas always comes on the 25th of December
B R R or not it’s the 25th of December (Pam Minor)
